This file is a comma-delimited ASCII text file.(Also referred to as a
delimited text file, CSV file or comma separated file).

If you have Microsoft Office 97 or Excel 97, then the spreadsheet macro 
XL97ACT.XLS can be run to import and view the data. NOTE! for the macro 
to work you MUST have all files received from us saved in the same folder 
- do not try to run the macro by itself (eg from your email)

Explanations:

The blank fields are necessary so this layout is the same as the Building
permit layout. This enables customers who get both types of information
to use the same import procedure.

state Number          - Eg 2=NSW, 3=VIC, 4=QLD etc

Local Authority Code  - Used internally by Reed Construction Data. A list of these codes
                        and corresponding council names can be downloaded
                        from the Housing section of our website at
                        www.reedconstructiondata.com.au/products/housing.php

Builders Sort code    - Use this field to sort the data by the "logical"
                        builders name. IE If the Builder name is Peter
                        Jacob then the sort code would be something like
                        JACOBPE
